Architect for hotels and leisure

Leisure projects, often combined with interior design and branding — in the Netherlands and Germany.

As an architect for hotels, hospitality venues and holiday parks, we design the building and guide its construction, from the first sketch to completion. That can be a new build or the redevelopment of an existing site, often combined with interior design and branding. A leisure project has two users: the guest who stays there and the client who operates it. We design for both, in the Netherlands and Germany.

Types of commission

Frequently asked questions

Does Paul Hoppe Architect also work on hotels in Germany?

Yes. Paul Hoppe is registered as an architect in the Netherlands and in Germany, and the firm is a member of the BNA and of the Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen. The wellness hotel in Itterbeck, in Lower Saxony, is a German project: from the amendment to the B-Plan to support during construction.

Can an existing hospitality venue become a hotel?

That depends on what is there and on what the plan allows on that site. It starts with an inventory of the existing buildings and their redevelopment potential, with a proposal for what to retain and what to demolish. If the new use does not fit the zoning plan, the amendment is part of the job, including the spatial planning justification.

Does the firm also design a hotel's interior?

Yes. Interior design and graphic branding of identity in the interior are part of our field of work. The team includes interior architects and graphic designers, and the interior is included in the architectural concept.
